Behind the Scenes

Board of Directors

The volunteer leaders who steward the Conroe Symphony Orchestra.

A Note From Our president

Welcome to the Conroe Symphony Orchestra

The Conroe Symphony Orchestra is governed by a passionate, working Board of Directors. As a board-driven organization, our members generously contribute their time, unique professional talents, and financial support (“time, talent, and treasure”) to ensure the artistic excellence and financial sustainability of the Symphony.    The Board of Directors includes representation from the orchestra players.

Our Board is committed to bringing world-class orchestral music and vital music education programs to Conroe and the Montgomery County area.

To maintain the highest standards of non-profit management, the Board operates under organizational bylaws and standard parliamentary voting procedures.  The Board meets bi-monthly and maintains continuous communication to oversee the Symphony’s strategic direction, community partnerships, and long-term vision.  Board members serve as ambassadors, fundraisers, and strategic leaders, bridging the gap between our onstage artistry and the community we serve.  The Conroe Symphony Board of Directors is dedicated to financial stewardship. We honor the investment of our donors, corporate sponsors, and patrons through strong internal controls and regular review and oversight of accounting and financial reporting functions.

MISSION: Our mission is adding to the cultural enrichment of the community, assuring a better quality of life for the Conroe area.

VISION: Our vision is to be recognized as one of the outstanding community orchestras in the state of Texas.

Our Board is committed to pursuing this mission and vision for the Conroe Symphony Orchestra.

BEYOND THE BOARDROOM

our board, in action

A man in a tuxedo.
A man in a tuxedo.

Thank you to everyone who makes the music possible.

A community orchestra runs on the generosity of many hands — our volunteer musicians, our Friends of the Symphony, our high school volunteers, our chair sponsors, our donors, and our grant partners. To all of you: thank you for helping us reach our 29th season.
